About The Position

This position helps to develop, implement, administer, and continuously improve tools, processes, and programs within the Internal Corrosion Control Program and will be considered an SME for internal corrosion control and regulatory compliance. The role oversees the division’s internal corrosion program to ensure tasks are executed in alignment with company corrosion control procedures.

Requirements

  • AMPP Internal Corrosion Technologist Certification or willing to acquire certification within 2-years
  • 3-years of internal corrosion experience preferred
  • Understanding of PHMSA and CER Regulations
  • Strong understanding of internal corrosion
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to implement and sustain a plan.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract
  • Cleared criminal history (background) and satisfactory reference checks
  • Compliance with the Company’s drug and alcohol policy including pre-employment D&A Testing.

Responsibilities

  • Support the internal corrosion program to meet regulatory compliance and participate in regulatory audits.
  • Ensures day-to-day execution of internal corrosion program including chemical application, pigging regiment, and operational parameters
  • Work with existing internal corrosion database to pull and verify information, specifically CIM, Irth, and/or Maximo
  • Completes required internal corrosion tasks and associated reporting
  • Make data driven decisions by analysis of corrosion coupons, bacteria sampling, water chemistry, pigging reports, and integrity-based inspections
  • Monitor program KPI’s and communicates execution to appropriate stakeholders
  • Provide support to other departments in determining mitigation efforts for internal corrosion
  • Assist in development of internal corrosion budget and responsible for budget management
  • Ensure successful program implementation and new programs and process rollouts are effective
  • Willing to travel up to 20%
