About The Position

This position is for a Corrector for the "Theory of Semiconductor Devices" course (ELG6380F, Section F) during the Fall 2026 semester. The role involves marking, grading, calculating, and recording student grades. The total estimated work hours for this position are 130. The teaching method for this course will be delivered in person. The number of positions and hours offered are subject to final enrollment in the course.

Requirements

  • Preference will be given to candidates who have completed this course or its equivalent and its prerequisite(s) with a grade of A or better.
  • Must be ready for an interview if considered for this position.
  • Knowledge and understanding of physical electronics and specifically: quantum mechanics & solid-state physics as it relates to semiconductor electronics and optoelectronics; physical models of semiconductor devices; pn junctions, bipolar transistors, metal oxide semiconductor field effect transistors, semiconductor lasers and photodiodes.
  • The course requirement includes a term paper and consequently a variety of topics will be covered by the students which demands the corrector to have excellent general knowledge of the subject.
