Corrections Offender Management Systems Consultant
About The Position
AlphaGov is engaging a Corrections Offender Management Systems Consultant for current state work. A state department of corrections is procuring a commercial offender management system with hosting, consulting, and support. The consultant will contribute expertise to the procurement and implementation effort. AlphaGov confirms scope, schedule, and fee with the consultant before any engagement begins. Engagements are remote-first with occasional client travel. With the consultant’s authorization, AlphaGov may identify them as an expert collaborator or key personnel on proposals that align with their expertise. AlphaGov builds teams for live pursuits rather than speculative staffing banks.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience with corrections offender management systems or DOC operations.
- Offender management system implementation experience.
- Comfortable working as a 1099 project-based consultant.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Marquis, Abilis, or Tyler OMS.
- Former DOC staff experience.
- PMP certification.
Responsibilities
- Map intake, classification, sentence computation, case management, and release workflows.
- Advise on offender management system configuration, data migration, and interfaces.
- Support testing, training, and go-live.
- Manage implementation risk.
- Contribute qualifications and past-performance narrative to AlphaGov proposals when authorized to be named.
