About The Position

The Department of Corrections (DOC) is seeking a Corrections General Industries Factory Foreperson who enjoys teamwork and hands-on activity. This position allows you to build skills, support training, and keep a fast-paced factory environment running smoothly. Your efforts will help maintain safe operations and structure while meeting production goals at the State Correctional Institution (SCI) at Dallas. Requirements

• Three years of experience in the production of goods or services; or An associate degree in industrial technology, operations management, business administration, or a related field; and one year of work experience in the production of goods or services; or An equivalent combination of experience and training, which includes one year of work experience in the production of goods or services.
• Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
• Must meet the PA residency requirement.
• Must be able to perform essential job functions.
• Must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Teach inmates proper production methods and safe equipment practices
• Maintain a secure environment through searches, monitoring, and tool control
• Track production activity, materials, and inventory through SAP systems
• Analyze reports and recommend equipment changes that raise output efficiencies
• Complete attendance logs and provide input for progress reports

Benefits
