Corrections General Industries Factory Foreperson - SCI Benner Township
About The Position
The Corrections General Industries Factory Foreperson supports daily operations of the laundry plant at the State Correctional Institution at Benner Township. The foreperson leads inmate workers in production tasks and helps maintain a safe, secure work setting, effective manufacturing processes, and proper oversight of tools, materials, and workflow. The role includes teaching production methods, safe equipment use, and proper work practices; conducting searches and overseeing tool and supply control; and using SAP to track orders, materials, shipping, and purchasing needs. The foreperson also reviews production records, evaluates workflow, recommends equipment or process improvements, and performs related duties that support effective factory operations.
Requirements
- Three years of experience in the production of goods or services; or an associate degree in industrial technology, operations management, business administration, or a related field and one year of production experience; or an equivalent combination of experience and training that includes one year of production experience.
- Meet the Pennsylvania residency requirement.
- Successfully complete basic training in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania.
- Be able to perform the essential job functions.
- Pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
- Provide relevant, detailed experience and education information on the application; resumes, cover letters, and similar documents will not be considered for eligibility.
- Attach college transcripts if claiming education toward the minimum requirements; unofficial transcripts are acceptable.
