Requirements

• Two years of experience as a Corrections Employment and Vocational Assistant; or Two years of para-professional experience in obtaining and evaluating vocational or employment information; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
• Must meet the PA residency requirement.
• Must be able to perform essential job functions.
• Must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and contribute to administration of inmate employment operations
• Coordinate placement decisions and evaluate vocational and technical training options
• Administer payroll processes and review time and attendance documentation
• Provide employment guidance that assists inmates with job adjustments and training selections
• Track and record information on inmate employment progress and related activities
• Work with institutional staff and committees to support work assignment monitoring and problem resolution
