About The Position

This is an opportunity to become part of a dedicated team supporting public safety, working in a correctional facility where professionalism, resilience, and teamwork are essential. Dixon Correctional Institute is seeking a dedicated and highly organized Corrections ARDC Supervisor to lead and oversee all operational phases of the institution’s Pre-Classification and Classification processes. This position plays a vital role in ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely offender assessment and records management across a designated geographic region within the State of Louisiana. The Supervisor will provide leadership and oversight for the Records Management Section, direct the statewide implementation and quality assurance of the IMPACT program, and manage all activities related to the Louisiana Parole Violator/Extradition program on a nationwide scale. This role requires strong analytical abilities, sound judgment, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of public safety, procedural integrity, and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• Six years of experience in offender records analysis, offender classification, offender pre-classification, security, or social services or as a probation or parole officer; OR Six years of full-time work experience in any field plus three years of experience in social services, offender classification, offender records analysis, security, or as a probation or parole officer; OR A bachelor’s degree plus three years of experience in social services, offender classification, offender records analysis, security, or as a probation or parole officer; OR An advanced degree in a social science or social work or a juris doctorate plus two years of experience in social services, offender classification, offender records analysis, security, or as a probation or parole officer.
• One year of the required experience must have been in offender records analysis, offender classification, or offender pre-classification.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Records Management operations for assigned regions.
• Direct and monitor statewide implementation of the IMPACT program.
• Manage Louisiana Parole Violator and Extradition program activities nationwide.
• Ensure compliance with departmental policies, legal standards, and audit requirements.
• Provide training, guidance, and performance oversight to assigned staff.
• Coordinate with facility leadership and external agencies to support accurate offender processing.
