About The Position
We are seeking compassionate and dependable Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to provide healthcare services within a correctional facility in Stormville, New York. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical judgment, professionalism, and the ability to provide quality patient care in a secure environment.
Requirements
- Active and unrestricted New York Registered Nurse license.
- Current BLS certification.
Nice To Haves
- Minimum one (1) year of nursing experience preferred.
- Correctional, emergency, behavioral health, or medical-surgical experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assess, monitor, and document inmate/patient health conditions.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and facility policies.
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide appropriate nursing interventions.
- Complete nursing assessments, screenings, and health histories.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Educate patients regarding treatment plans, medications, and wellness initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with correctional healthcare standards, policies, and procedures.
- Observe and report changes in patient conditions to appropriate medical personnel.
- Maintain confidentiality and professional standards at all times.
