About The Position

CoreCivic is hiring a Correctional Officer to provide security, care, and direct supervision of inmates or residents in a secure correctional facility. The officer supervises people in housing units, during meals and recreation, on work assignments, and throughout other activities. The role may require using weapons or force to maintain discipline and order. Officers may be assigned to a variety of posts, including armory/key control, housing units, kitchen, medical, and visitation. The position requires availability to work any hours and any shift. CoreCivic provides paid training and, where applicable, pays the cost of state-required non-commissioned security officer licensing. Military service may qualify applicants for positions requiring criminal justice experience.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED certification, or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to complete required training.
• Availability to work any hours and any shift.
• At least 18 years of age.
