This role, the Contract Beds Monitor (Correctional Officer III), serves as the Program Monitor and Subject Matter Expert at the private prison, ensuring compliance with Department Orders, Arizona Revised Statutes, and the Contract. The position functions in four primary capacities: Institutional Classification Officer, Disciplinary Coordinator, conducting tours and inspections, and other duties as assigned by the Lead Monitor. This position requires a current, valid class-appropriate driver’s license if driving or using a vehicle is an essential function of the job. Applicants must meet specific performance evaluation standards, and there are restrictions related to suspensions and voluntary/involuntary demotions. The selection process involves evaluation based on training and experience, with potential for an oral board interview. An educational stipend is available for eligible employees with Associate's, Bachelor's, or Master's degrees.
