This classification is scheduled to receive a 5% COLA effective July 2027. This recruitment is for Correctional Deputy level I and level II (Lateral). Following the close of the recruitment, qualified applicants will be invited to participate in the Physical Agility Test, Oral Interview AND Written Exams that are tentatively scheduled for SATURDAY, November 7, 2026, at 7:45 A.M. Qualified applicants can expect to receive an email notification no later than October 30, 2026, inviting them to the November 7th exam. FLSA: Non-Exempt. Under immediate or general supervision, maintains facility security and inmate welfare in a County Jail; oversees and directs the work of inmates in structured situations and the community during an assigned shift; prepares clear, accurate, and comprehensive reports and other written materials; maintains accurate records, logs, and files; and performs related duties as assigned.
