About The Position
This position assists in the overall operation of the Unit Medication Room and distributes clients medications from filled prescriptions. It involves Medication Administration & Documentation, Medication Room Management, Support of Nursing Services, Patient Care & Safety, Compliance & Quality Standard, and Collaboration & Professional Conduct. Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited high school or GED equivalent
- Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic (EMT-P) with current credential from the Texas Department of State Health Services, OR Successful completion of a certified medication aide training course and passage of State exam.
