About The Position

The Summer Corporate Tax Data Analytics & Visualization Intern will support the corporate tax team by transforming complex tax data into actionable insights through analytics and visualization tools. This role provides hands-on experience working with large datasets, automating tax processes, and supporting tax compliance and reporting (ASC 740) through data-driven solutions. This is a hybrid opportunity based out of Framingham, MA office.

Requirements

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, lookups, basic data modeling).
Foundational understanding of data cleaning or analysis concepts.

Nice To Haves

Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
Exposure to Power Query, DAX, SQL, or similar data tools.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
Effective communication skills with the ability to translate data insights into business implications.

Responsibilities

Assist in extracting, cleansing, and transforming tax data from ERP systems, general ledger, and other financial sources
Develop dashboards and visualizations (e.g., Power BI, Excel) to support tax provision, compliance, and management reporting
Support automation of recurring tax processes, including data collection and workpaper preparation
Analyze tax data to identify trends, risks, and planning opportunities (e.g., ETR drivers, state apportionment, credits)
Assist with data validation and reconciliation between tax and financial reporting systems
Support tracking and analytics for tax credits and incentives (e.g., ITC, Section 179D, energy-related incentives)
Collaborate with tax, accounting, and IT teams to improve data integrity and reporting efficiency
Document processes, data flows, and dashboard logic for internal controls and audit support.
Perform other duties as assigned.
