About The Position

The Supply Chain Sustainability and Compliance Analyst is responsible for developing supply chain sustainability initiatives, coordinating the Company’s efforts to track and manage supply chain emissions, assessing sustainability and compliance risks within the supply chain, and overseeing supply chain sustainability management systems. This position works closely with both our sustainability and procurement teams and interacts with all departments in the organization to develop and advance Sensient’s sustainability strategy and supply chain legal compliance. This position is office-based in Milwaukee, WI with travel to Sensient operations and supplier sites worldwide as need requires. 20-30% travel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Sustainability, Environmental Science, or related field not required.
  • Working knowledge of sustainability reporting frameworks, including SASB, TCFD, EU’s ESRS, and CDP would be helpful but is not required.
  • Supply chain, sourcing, and/or corporate sustainability experience would be helpful but is not required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Scope 3 emissions management, focusing on purchased goods and services and transportation, and collaborate with R&D, Procurement, and other stakeholders to develop and implement emissions reduction plans.
  • Manage supplier sustainability, risk, and trade compliance, including supplier and raw material assessments, onboarding requirements, sanctions screening, supply tracing, tariff matters, related systems, and compliance testing.
  • Lead sustainability and procurement regulatory compliance, including CSRD, CSDDD, EUDR, state-level EPR requirements, and other applicable regulations; partner with local business units to support sustainability audits.
  • Engage with suppliers and customers to assess performance and legal compliance, communicate expectations, and drive improvements across raw materials, emissions, water, waste, social impact, and other supply chain sustainability priorities.
  • Embed sustainability into procurement and sourcing, serving as the supply chain sustainability subject matter expert, incorporating sustainability into RFPs and sourcing decisions, partnering with R&D and Sourcing on sustainable raw material selection, and developing training and educational materials for Procurement.
  • Strengthen procurement governance and processes, including supplier standards, contracts, documentation, risk management, legal requirements, and policies that support compliance and mitigate risk; manage RFPs for Legal, Global Security, and sustainability initiatives.
