About The Position

The 2026 Corporate Summer Internship Program is a 10-week internship focused on professional development, career growth, and skill-building for success. Interns will engage in projects and departmental initiatives that foster career advancement and contribute to the Bank's future. The program offers exposure to various departments through guest speakers and industry leaders, a peer network, and priority consideration for full-time opportunities within the Bank.

Requirements

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
Minimum Cumulative GPA of 3.0

Responsibilities

Complete duties and responsibilities of an entry-level professional nature specific to assigned area of the Bank.
Ensure activities adhere to established internal policies and external regulations as applicable.
Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite.
Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
Design, implement, maintain and enhance internal controls to mitigate risk on an ongoing basis.
Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
Complete other related duties as assigned.
