About The Position

The Corporate Security Officer I is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of all company personnel, property, and visitors. This role includes monitoring access points, responding to incidents, performing routine patrols, and enforcing company security protocols to maintain a secure environment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Security Guard (military, law enforcement, or private sector).
  • Basic computer skills; report writing, knowledge of security equipment and systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; professional demeanor; attention to detail; reliability.
  • Dependable and reliable.
  • Flexible and willing to learn new procedures.
  • Ability to work flexible schedule and willing to work overtime as needed.
  • Ability to learn technical concepts by reading work instructions and standard operating procedures and completing on-the-job training.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of cGMP regulations ISO 13485, 21CFR Part 820, CMDR SOR/98-282, 93/42/EEC, RDC 16 2013, MHLW MO 169 and TG(MD)R Sch3 preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Screen all visitors, vendors, and guests before granting building access.
  • Issue security badges to employees, contractors, and visitors in line with company procedures.
  • Investigate and document security incidents, including theft, safety breaches, and loss events.
  • Prepares clear and concise investigation reports documenting incidents, findings, and actions taken, completed within the incident management software system.
  • Respond appropriately to medical emergencies and other critical incidents.
  • Monitor CCTV systems and alarm systems to ensure secure facility operations.
  • Operate fire and burglar alarms and report irregularities promptly.
  • Conduct interior and exterior foot patrols to identify security risks and ensure property protection.
  • Manage building keys and ensure access to secure areas is controlled and documented.
  • Support secure product transfer processes, including audit counts and paperwork.
  • Assist in handling incoming/outgoing mail and packages, working with internal departments and external vendors.
  • Stay updated on company security procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Comply with applicable security and quality standards (e.g., cGMP, ISO 13485).
  • Other duties as assigned.
