About The Position

The Corporate Security Lead will lead and enhance the company’s corporate security program across corporate offices, field operations, executives, and critical business functions. This role is responsible for heading a business-aligned security program focused on protecting employees, operations, assets, reputation, and executive leadership. The ideal candidate is a strategic and operational security professional capable of managing a security function within a privately held U.S.-based oil and gas company. The role requires strong leadership, business acumen, discretion, and the ability to work effectively with executives, operations leadership, legal, HR, aviation, IT, and field personnel. This position will initially operate as a hands-on leader responsible for assessing risk, establishing foundational policies and procedures, managing vendors and security systems, and creating scalable security capabilities that support long-term company growth and resilience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in: corporate security, law enforcement, military, intelligence, or related security leadership roles.
  • Experience managing physical security systems including: access control; video surveillance; and intrusion detection
  • Experience conducting investigations, threat assessments, and incident response.
  • Strong understanding of security operations in corporate or industrial environments.
  • Strong communication and executive presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel domestically as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and enhance the company’s enterprise corporate security program.
  • Develop security strategies, standards, risk assessments, and procedures aligned with business operations and company culture.
  • Develop short- and long-term security roadmaps and investment priorities.
  • Lead the selection, implementation, and management of corporate access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and visitor management systems.
  • Standardize physical security practices across corporate and operational locations.
  • Support site security reviews and develop security design standards for facilities, offices, aviation assets, and sensitive operational environments.
  • Oversee relationships with integrators, vendors, and security technology providers.
  • Develop executive protection and family security protocols appropriate for a privately owned enterprise environment.
  • Conduct protective intelligence assessments related to executives, owners, travel, events, and emerging threats.
  • Coordinate travel security planning and executive event security as needed.
  • Monitor open-source and relevant threat information impacting company personnel or operations.
  • Establish incident response procedures and crisis management protocols.
  • Lead investigations related to security incidents, threats, workplace violence concerns, theft, vandalism, or unauthorized access.
  • Coordinate with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies when appropriate.
  • Partner closely with: Executive Leadership; Legal; Human Resources; Information Technology; Operations; Aviation; and Facilities.
  • Provide executive-level reporting, recommendations, and risk briefings.
  • Promote security-consciousness without disrupting operational effectiveness or culture.
