About The Position

Amazon Corporate Security’s (ACS) mission is to deliver a safe and secure workplace for all Amazonians. The Business Assurance Center (BAC) supports this mission by providing 24/7 global security operations center (GSOC) services to roughly 500k global corporate customers, serving as a single point of intake for corporate security issues worldwide. The BAC is looking for talented incident response specialists to support our rapidly growing GSOC program. A successful candidate will have a strong track record of managing security incidents, writing detailed reports, coordinating with response stakeholders, and driving positive service relationships among a diverse group of stakeholders and customers. Success in this role will require flexibility, bias for action, and a wide range of technical and interpersonal skills. Time management and continuous task prioritization is crucial to delivering support services in this dynamic, fast paced environment.

Requirements

  • Experience in physical security
  • Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities
  • Experience drafting, editing, and publishing written products such as incident reports, messaging products, and security alerts
  • 2+ years of experience related to emergency management, GSOC operations, or other physical security management roles in a high-volume, high-intensity environment.
  • Experience acting quickly to collect and analyze data necessary to brief stakeholders on important, time sensitive security issues.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree/certification in the fields of emergency management, security management, project management, business continuity, or related disciplines.
  • Experience with access control and CCTV systems such as CCure, Lenel, or Avigilon.
  • Experience in emergency preparedness, developing and/or participating in incident response trainings and table top exercises.

Responsibilities

  • Directly manage security incidents worldwide, working with response stakeholders and notifying key partner teams.
  • Coordinate with internal team members to ensure the effective triage and escalation of security incidents.
  • Draft written products and emergency communications with a high level of accuracy and detail.
  • Navigate a suite of technical resources to retrieve information and create reports in support of incident and crisis management activities as directed.
  • Participate in drills and table-top exercises, recommending improvements to BAC practices.
