About The Position

The Corporate Safety Specialist is responsible for executing and advancing the organization’s corporate safety program across multiple locations within an enterprise office environment. This role conducts risk assessments, leads safety initiatives, drives corrective actions, supports incident investigations, and ensures consistent application of safety practices, procedures, and expectations across assigned sites. The position partners closely with internal and external stakeholders to reduce risk, strengthen compliance, and promote a proactive safety culture. Complies with all laws and regulations associated with duties and responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in safety, emergency management, risk management, business administration, or related field required. Four years of related experience may be used in lieu of a degree
  • 3 years of experience in corporate safety, workplace safety, compliance, or related field
  • Experience conducting risk assessments, supporting investigations, and delivering training.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to independently manage assignments and follow through on deliverables
  • Strong communication and influencing skills across all levels of the organization
  • Ability to balance competing priorities across multiple sites
  • High attention to detail and documentation accuracy
  • Ability to build trust and work effectively in a cross functional environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working across multiple sites or supporting enterprise operations strongly preferred.
  • Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Certified Safety Professional (CSP) SHA General Industry training and other equivalent safety credentials preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Execute corporate safety programs, policies, and initiatives across multiple locations and ensure consistent application of safety standards, practices, and expectations across assigned sites while identifying gaps and driving improvements in workplace safety performance, including leading assigned safety initiatives and projects across the enterprise
  • Conduct facility level safety risk assessments across office environments and workplace operations, identify hazards and potential risks, develop and communicate mitigation strategies, and track corrective actions through to completion
  • Respond to and support workplace safety incidents across assigned locations, lead or participate in root cause analysis for incidents and near misses, recommend corrective and preventative actions, and ensure accurate documentation and reporting
  • Develop and deliver safety training, awareness campaigns, and targeted communications while reinforcing safe work practices, promoting employee engagement, and partnering with leadership to support continuous improvement in safety culture
  • Maintain working knowledge of applicable regulations, standards, and internal policies, monitor compliance with corporate safety requirements, support updates to safety procedures and documentation, and communicate regulatory or policy changes to stakeholders
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal partners and external stakeholders, serve as a safety subject matter resource, coordinate with outside agencies as needed, and develop and maintain accurate records and reporting while analyzing trends and providing insights to support risk reduction efforts
