  • 5-7 years of progressive safety leadership experience, including multi-site or multi-business-unit responsibility.
  • Demonstrated ownership of workers' compensation claims management and measurable results in reducing claim cost and EMR.
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA and applicable federal/state safety regulations.
  • Proven ability to build programs, standardize practices, and influence across decentralized operations.
  • Willingness to travel to brand/field locations as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional certification: CSP, ASP, CHST, CIH, OSHA 510, First Aid / CPR certification or equivalent.
  • Experience in service, field operations, construction, logistics, or similarly distributed/high-risk industries.

  • Familiarity with data-driven safety analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Own the corporate safety program end-to-end across all brands, including strategy, enforcement, policies, and annual safety objectives.
  • Build a consistent safety management system and harmonize practices across brands while accounting for the distinct risk profile of each business.
  • Define KPIs and report performance, trends, and risk to the COO and executive leadership.
  • Manage the full workers' compensation claim lifecycle across all brands; incident intake, investigation, carrier/TPA coordination, reserves review, and return-to-work programs.
  • Partner with HR, Legal, and insurance carriers/brokers to control claim costs, reduce experience modification rates (EMR), and manage litigation exposure.
  • Identify loss trends and implement targeted interventions to prevent recurrence and reduce frequency and severity.
  • Enforce driver qualifications standards and MVR monitoring, perform vehicle safety inspections and fleet safety initiatives, conduct post-accident reviews and distracted driver awareness.
  • Develop and deliver safety training programs, onboarding, toolbox talks, and certifications appropriate to each brand's operations.
  • Drive consistent safety messaging, campaigns, and communications across the enterprise to build a proactive safety culture.
  • Coach and influence brand-level managers and supervisors to embed safety accountability into daily operations.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations across all operating locations.
  • Conduct and oversee audits, inspections, and risk assessments; lead corrective action and hold brands accountable to standards.
  • Manage incident investigations, regulatory reporting, and relationships with regulators and inspectors.
