The Corporate Risk and Insurance Specialist is a developing Individual Contributor within the Data and Risk Insurance function. This role is responsible for independently managing corporate risk data, insurance documentation, and exposure analysis at Jackson Healthcare. The Specialist administers certificates of insurance programs, coordinates insurance policy renewals, and produces risk reports with minimal supervision. They serve as a reliable point of contact for internal business units and external brokers on routine risk and insurance matters, and partner with leadership and other Corporate Risk and Insurance Specialists on shared program data.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required; equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
  • 3 - 5 years of progressive experience in risk management, insurance administration, or a related field required.
  • Demonstrated experience managing certificate of insurance programs and coordinating insurance renewals required.
  • Proficiency in risk management information systems (RMIS) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) required.
  • Experience with claims tracking and loss run analysis required.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate in Risk Management (ARM), Certified Risk Manager (CRM), Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) or CPCU designation preferred.
  • Experience working in a multi-entity or corporate shared-services risk environment preferred.
  • Familiarity with property, casualty, and liability insurance policy structures and coverage terms preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Owning and maintaining the enterprise risk management information system (RMIS), ensuring data integrity for property, casualty, and liability exposures across all JH operating companies.
  • Collecting, validating, and consolidating exposure data from business units for insurance renewal submissions, including property schedules, vehicle fleets, and headcount data.
  • Conducting data quality reviews, identifying discrepancies, and coordinating corrections with business stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Producing routine risk metrics, exposure summaries, and loss trend reports to support the enterprise risk function.
  • Assisting with developing and maintaining TCOR calculations.
  • Identifying process improvement and assisting with oversight of certificate of insurance issuance and tracking program; verifying coverage compliance for vendors, contractors, and tenants.
  • Coordinating insurance policy renewal activities, including compiling renewal applications, gathering loss runs, and liaising with brokers on information requests.
  • Checking policy forms, endorsements, and deletions to ensure accurate policy documentation files and identifying coverage gaps.
  • Monitoring renewal timelines and proactively communicating status updates to leadership and relevant stakeholders.
  • Assisting with renewal placements and assessing coverage.
  • Reviewing company contracts to align with Insurance Products and minimize contractual risk to the company.
  • Identifying trends in claim frequency or severity and reporting observations to leadership.
  • Supporting the captive function and actuarial analysis process.
  • Developing and distributing scheduled risk reports covering exposure, claims, and insurance program metrics.
  • Identifying process improvement opportunities in risk data workflows and recommending enhancements to the team.
  • Providing support for special projects and risk assessments assigned by leadership.
