About The Position

The Receptionist will greet, assist, and provide direction and information to clients, visitors, and other guests of the organization. The receptionist will serve as the interface between a company and its customers as well as the management and employees.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Must be fluent in English and Spanish.
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service skills and telephone communication etiquette.
  • Basic understanding of administrative and clerical procedures and systems.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Organized and resourceful.
  • Prior experience with typing
  • Ability to handle office equipment (e.g., the telephone system, printer, and fax machine)
  • Fast and eager learner.

Responsibilities

  • Greetings clients, visitors, and guests; determines the purpose of each person’s visit and directs or escorts him or her to the appropriate location.
  • Answers, screens, and directs phone calls to staff; takes messages and schedules appointments.
  • Receives mail, documents, packages, and courier deliveries and delivers or distributes items.
  • Performs administrative and clerical support tasks to include handling office equipment telephone system, printer, and the fax machine.
  • Maintaining safety and hygiene standards in the reception area.
  • Verifying employee identification, issuing visitor passes, and observing and reporting any unusual or suspicious persons or activities.
  • Performs basic filing and recordkeeping.
  • Performs other duties.
