About The Position

This person must embrace our company’s culture and handle every phone and personal interaction with professionalism, positivity, and accuracy. We are seeking a mature, responsible, proactive, self-motivated, friendly individual who loves working with people and wants to help build a first-class image for The Buckner Company.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Excellent communication skills, including listening, speaking and writing
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills: professional, personable and able to interact effectively with others and to respond appropriately in stressful situation and under deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently with moderate supervision on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assessments
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word for correspondence, data entry, e-mail, Internet, spreadsheets and accessing data from company systems.
  • Dependability and promptness
  • Good organizational and time-management skills

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of or experience in the insurance industry preferred

Responsibilities

  • Answer telephones and route calls
  • Greet and direct visitors to the company
  • Receive, sort, scan and forward incoming mail
  • Process all outgoing mail
  • Order, receive, stock and distribute office supplies
  • Assist with credentialing for carrier websites
  • Manage multiple email inboxes
  • Create work orders for maintenance of the building
  • Restock the breakroom and conference rooms as necessary
  • Log outgoing checks as well as track and deposit incoming checks
  • Process bills for payment
  • Issue checks and ACHs for accounts payable
  • Maintains accounting records by properly filing documents
  • Various other tasks related to the accounting department
  • Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs
