We currently have the opportunity for a Manager, Quality Assurance to join our team in St. Louis, MO at our U.S. Country Office. This position will require travel to a number of facilities throughout the US, as well as lesser travel to international facility locations, including the Corporate Quality Assurance office in Canada. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum five years of supervisory experience in a GFSI-certified food safety environment
  • Experience developing and implementing policies, procedures, and quality systems in manufacturing
  • Knowledge of milling, oilseed processing, pasta manufacturing, or semi-automated packaging is an asset
  • Familiarity with laboratory programs, ISO or quality systems, and health and safety programs is an asset
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to train and influence cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated sound judgment, problem-solving ability, and continuous improvement mindset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with solid understanding of production and processing operations
  • PCQI certification required
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel internationally

Nice To Haves

  • Food Defense or Food Safety auditing certification is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Oversee Food Safety and Quality programs across U.S. processing facilities; ensure compliance with company and GFSI standards
  • Support site QA teams in effective program implementation to minimize non-conformances and operational disruptions
  • Conduct audits, inspections, and spot observations; address unsafe conditions and reinforce safe practices
  • Lead and support incident and customer complaint investigations; drive timely corrective and preventive actions
  • Perform internal audits and participate in key customer audits, representing corporate QA and supporting site teams
  • Deliver training, coaching, and performance feedback on food safety and quality requirements
  • Lead assigned projects and continuous improvement initiatives, including process optimization and waste reduction
  • Represent QA on cross-functional initiatives and industry committees as required
  • Contribute to improvements in food safety, employee safety, quality, production efficiency, and cost control
