How you will contribute As the Corporate Quality Assurance Manager, you will be part of a regional North American corporate quality team that will deliver on the quality strategy and provide expertise to appropriate functions and locations. You will ensure compliance with Mondelēz policies and procedures; and adherence to external regional and local food safety/regulatory requirements within the Mondelez manufacturing network. In this role, you will develop and report quality KPIs, applying your understanding of the impact regional KPIs have on the global business. In addition, you will facilitate communities of practice on quality related topics; represent the quality function at commercial meetings to ensure projects meet design, food safety and quality policy requirements are met; identify quality enhancements and improvements across the supply chain; partner with technical groups such as food safety and sanitation to ensure program compliance and enhancement; and ensure completion of plant investigations and root-cause analysis to protect Mondelēz’s interests and reputation. More about this role What extra ingredients you will bring: Key Responsibilities: · Ability to develop a strategy, drive the implementation, and lead complaint reductions and resolution of consumer complaints and apply across multiple sites. Responsible for the oversight of both brand and manufacturing facilities consumer complaints to identify trends and ensure the proper improvement plans are identified and implemented. · Ensure manufacturing site audit preparedness for internal Mondelez quality/food safety compliance and external audit compliance (GFSI standards - FSSC 22000). Primary external manufacturing sites located in Mexico which produce product for the North American market. · Responsible for the day-to-day NA Confections Seasonal portfolio and others as assigned, ensuring all projects meet design, food safety and quality policy requirements as defined by the commercialization process. Identify and apply consistent best practices and ways of working; lead and drive a culture of quality improvement, consumer focus, across the supply chain. Project types may include Line Extensions, Growth & Innovation, Productivity, Quality Improvement, and Well-Being. · Participate in project and technical risk assessments and develop mitigation plans. · Monitor communications from MDLZ Field Sales and Customer issues and then take appropriate actions to resolve. Ensure appropriate actions taken for Network Hold and Disposition within the category. · Ability to facilitate and instruct others to conduct Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) and lessons learned. Review and ensure the timely closure of corrective / preventive actions for consumer complaints, audits, risk assessment. · Develop, implement, monitor, and continuously improve quality and food safety programs. · Provide leadership to drive quality programs with manufacturing and business partners in areas including consumer inspired quality initiatives, compliance to specifications, statistical process controls, quality system management, Integrated Lean Six Sigma, HACCP, and GMP’s. · Work with plant quality managers to develop the manufacturing facility’s Quality departments and capabilities. · Responsible to ensure manufacturing sites completion of the weekly and monthly key performance indicators. · Success in this role will require collaboration, communication, strong technical skills, demonstrated influencing skills, and an understanding of the consumers, applicable regulations, and the business strategy. You will be accountable for communicating with key stakeholders and influencing decisions based on conclusions derived from the analysis and interpretation of results.

Requirements

  • Relevant experience in operations, quality, and/or R&D.
  • Strong manufacturing quality experience.
  • Project management with the ability to oversee multiple tasks and prioritize work.
  • Understanding of the commercialization process, product/package development, food safety, and sanitation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, coaching/training, and leading cross-functional teams.

  • Minimum of B.S. degree in Food Science, Engineering, Microbiology, Chemistry, or other related Science
  • Proven experience in Quality Assurance in the manufacturing environment in the food industry.
  • Minimum 10 years of related experience (Operations, Quality and/or R&D) with demonstrated technical abilities.
  • Experience in managing multiple locations and leading through influence.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills including fluency in English.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements, GFSI certifications, and quality standards.
  • Knowledge of Office programs such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word, OneNote
