About The Position

The Corporate Process Engineer will play a pivotal role in optimizing and standardizing manufacturing processes across multiple facilities within the durable goods sector. This position focuses on driving continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, product quality, and cost-effectiveness. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including production, quality assurance, supply chain, and engineering to implement best practices and innovative solutions. They will analyze existing processes, identify bottlenecks, and develop scalable strategies that align with corporate objectives and regulatory requirements. Ultimately, this role ensures that manufacturing operations are streamlined, sustainable, and capable of meeting evolving market demands while maintaining high standards of safety and compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in process engineering within the automotive Tier 1 manufacturing industry.
  • Proven expertise in process improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing systems, quality standards, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Strong analytical skills daily to dissect complex manufacturing workflows and identify root causes of inefficiencies.
  • Expertise in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies will guide the design and implementation of process improvements that reduce waste and enhance productivity.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills are essential as they work with diverse teams to align process changes with business goals and ensure smooth adoption.
  • Technical proficiency with data analysis and process modeling tools enables them to quantify improvements and forecast impacts accurately.
  • Project management capabilities ensure that initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and with measurable results.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification as a Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt.
  • Experience working in a corporate or multi-site automotive manufacturing environment.
  • Expertise in injection moulding machines - knowledge in building and operating injection molders
  • Familiarity with advanced manufacturing technologies such as automation and Industry 4.0 concepts.
  • Proficiency in data analysis software and process simulation tools.
  • Advanced degree (Master’s or MBA) in Engineering, Operations Management, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and map current manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement standardized process protocols and documentation across all manufacturing sites.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in continuous improvement projects using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess process effectiveness and drive corrective actions as needed.
  • Collaborate with product design and quality teams to ensure manufacturability and compliance with industry standards.
  • Provide technical support and training to plant personnel to ensure consistent application of process improvements.
  • Evaluate new technologies and equipment to enhance production capabilities and reduce costs.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management to communicate progress and impact of process initiatives.
