About The Position

The Payroll Supervisor will support the Corporate Payroll Director in ensuring the efficiency and accuracy of payroll operations. Key responsibilities include processing and reconciling 401k, including managing outside audits in this area. The Supervisor will also interact effectively with Human Resources staff, facility payroll staff, managers, and hospital staff regarding payroll issues. Additionally, the role involves assisting with acquisitions, updating dictionaries in various accounting and timekeeping systems, helping with facility audits, and communicating with all facility payroll staff.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in Payroll is required
  • Previous hospital payroll experience a must
  • General accounting background
  • Hands-on experience with Excel or equivalent
  • Experience with JBDev/Kronos or similar timekeeping system
  • Knowledge of Wage and Hour Guidelines and Healthcare pay practices
  • Knowledge of payroll dictionary set up
  • Hands on experience with payroll taxes

Nice To Haves

  • College Degree preferred
  • Multi-state knowledge of payroll laws preferred
  • Some knowledge of ADP and Kronos preferred
  • Experience with union collective bargaining agreements and protocols preferred
  • Hands on experience with audits for 401k, DOL, W/C preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support the Corporate Payroll Director in the efficiency and accuracy of payroll operations
  • Responsible for the processing and reconciliation of the 401k including any outside audits in that area
  • Effectively interact with Human Resources staff, facilities payroll staff, managers & hospital staff regarding payroll issues
  • Help in acquisitions as needed
  • Help update dictionaries in the various accounting and timekeeping systems
  • Help in facility audits
  • Send out communication to all facility payroll staff
