The Senior Paralegal is a key member of Lennar's legal team who supports complex real estate, land acquisition, land development, title, and closing matters for one or more Divisions. This role partners closely with in-house counsel and business teams to manage transactions from contract through closing, coordinate legal and internal approvals, maintain critical deal documentation and deadlines, and help drive projects forward in a fast-paced homebuilding environment. The ideal candidate combines strong legal judgment, transaction management skills, and a practical business mindset.

Requirements

  • Paralegal certificate, associate degree, bachelor's degree, or comparable combination of education and relevant experience.
  • 10+ years of paralegal experience, with substantial experience in real estate transactions, land acquisition, title, development, homebuilding, commercial real estate, or a similar transactional practice.
  • Experience reviewing title commitments, surveys, easements, entity documents, due diligence materials, and closing documentation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication skills, including written and verbal fluency in English.
  • Impeccable organizational, time management, attention to detail, and proofreading skills.
  • Self-starter: ability to independently resolve inquiries and issues with skill and judgment.
  • Ability to balance multiple projects with minimum supervision in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain poise in a fast-paced environment and work well under pressure.
  • Must be able to demonstrate discretion in handling highly confidential information.
  • A consummate team player who interacts well with co-workers, supervisors, and management, maintaining a professional demeanor and attitude.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in homebuilding, residential development, title, land banking, or in-house real estate legal support is preferred.
  • Experience with HOA/CC&R documents, easements, development-related agreements, and internal approval processes is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex transaction‑focused legal support initiatives for land acquisition, land development, title, entitlement, HOA, and related real estate matters, synthesizing findings, identifying issues, and preparing practical, well‑organized analyses and summaries to support attorney and business decision‑making on high‑stakes matters.
  • Manage advanced legal documents and filings, including first drafts and negotiated versions of purchase and sale agreements, amendments, easements, access agreements, escrow documents, notices, and closing deliverables, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to legal, procedural, and company standards.
  • Manage and coordinate end‑to‑end execution of major real estate transactions, serving as a central point of coordination for timelines, approvals, deliverables, and documentation from initial contract through closing and post‑closing follow‑up across internal teams and external partners.
  • Oversee real estate due diligence and information‑management processes, including requesting, reviewing, organizing, and summarizing title commitments, exception documents, surveys, plats, site plans, HOA/CC&R documents, and related materials, ensuring defensibility, compliance with requirements, and adherence to deadlines.
  • Maintain and optimize matter‑management systems and workflows, including organized deal files, approval packages, correspondence, and closing binders, ensuring accurate tracking, documentation integrity, and compliance with internal controls and company requirements.
  • Partner closely with Deputy General Counsels and Associate General Counsels, as well as Land Acquisition, Land Development, Finance, and Division leadership, anticipating needs, identifying issues, risks, or gaps early, and proactively supporting the successful execution of complex land and real estate legal strategies.
  • Serve as a subject‑matter expert within the real estate and land transactions practice area, providing guidance on transaction processes, due diligence standards, and closing requirements, and contributing to consistency and quality across workstreams.
  • Mentor and support paralegal and administrative staff, sharing expertise, reinforcing standards, and supporting skill development and performance excellence.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of legal processes and resources, including templates, playbooks, and workflow enhancements that improve efficiency, quality, and risk management.
