About The Position

The Corporate Paralegal I provides support and assistance to the company’s in-house legal group under close attorney supervision. This position will be responsible for using their knowledge and skills to assist in supporting the company’s attorneys in a particular function (Licensing, Litigation, Transactional). The Corporate Paralegal I is expected to be knowledgeable about, and supportive of, the company’s mission and values, its policies and procedures and its ethical and compliance standards. The position will collaborate with other in-house counsel, paralegals, and outside attorneys in pursuit of company goals and objectives.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree
  • 0-3 years of relevant experience (Licensing, Litigation, Transactional)
  • Paralegal Certificate or equivalent
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Current authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

  • Communicates with team members and the business, assembly and organization of responsive materials and supporting unique projects as assigned.
  • Learns to support the legal department, including reviewing and drafting legal documents.
  • Determines course of action related to functional support area (Licensing, Litigation, Transactional).
  • Applies knowledge and basic problem-solving techniques to define and resolve issues of lower risk and complexity related to functional support area.
  • Other duties as assigned.
