About The Position

Unified is seeking an experienced Corporate Litigation Paralegal to join its dynamic legal team. This role will provide comprehensive support to attorneys handling a wide range of matters, including employment, business, and contract litigation; regulatory and corporate matters and investigations; risk management, and payor contract management. This role also provides dedicated support on employment-related matters, including employee disputes, administrative agency claims, and internal investigations, in partnership with HR and legal leadership. The paralegal will assist in managing employment litigation risk and ensuring compliance with applicable labor and employment laws. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of paralegal experience in corporate and litigation settings.
  • Strong knowledge of litigation processes and court procedures.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-paced work environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
  • Professional disposition and strong communication skills for interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment and maintain confidentiality.

Nice To Haves

  • NALA or NFPA certification strongly preferred.
  • Completion of a state bar registered paralegal program preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and organize litigation documents, including but not limited to pleadings, motions, subpoenas, discovery requests/responses, and correspondence.
  • Assist with litigation case management, including litigation holds, e-discovery, subpoenas, filings, settlement agreements, trial preparation, and appeals.
  • Assist with corporate and regulatory internal and external investigations.
  • Support employment-related matters, including EEOC and state agency charges, internal employee complaints, workplace investigations, and employment litigation case management.
  • Partner with HR and legal teams to collect and analyze employment records, assist in responses to agency inquiries, and help ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies.
  • Oversee the third-party subpoena process for the legal department.
  • Maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation.
  • Conduct legal and factual research and summarize findings for attorney review; and summarize depositions, medical records, and other evidence.
  • Support and assist in preparing attorneys and witnesses for depositions, hearings, mediations, administrative or other proceedings, and company meetings.
  • Prepare and file documents with federal and state courts or various administrative agencies via electronic filing systems.
  • Lead or manage projects, assignments, and cross-functional initiatives, as assigned, ensuring accountability and timely follow-through.
