About The Position

Associated Bank is seeking interns to join their 12-week internship program. This program offers meaningful, hands-on experience, opportunities to build real-world skills, and a chance to explore career possibilities. The program includes structured corporate programming such as orientation, workshops, networking events, research projects, and professional development activities. Interns will participate in transaction monitoring investigations, analyze customer activity for financial crime risks, document findings, and assist with research and special projects within the BSA/AML framework. Collaboration with team members and adherence to company policies are also key aspects of the role.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree student with sophomore, junior, or senior standing at the time of internship start date; must not have graduated prior to internship start date.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in structured corporate internship programming, including orientation, workshops, networking events, research projects, and professional development activities.
  • Conduct transaction monitoring investigations and review alerts related to potential money laundering, terrorist financing, drug trafficking, and other suspicious activities.
  • Analyze customer activity to identify potential financial crime risks and support investigative efforts within the BSA/AML framework.
  • Document investigative findings and maintain accurate records in accordance with financial crimes compliance standards.
  • Assist Financial Intelligence Analysts and investigators with transaction monitoring reviews, research activities, and financial crime investigations.
  • Complete research, reporting, and special projects that support the Financial Intelligence team and broader compliance objectives.
  • Collaborate with Financial Intelligence Analysts, team leads, and leadership while participating in team meetings, training, and coaching opportunities.
  • Follow company policies, procedures, and confidentiality guidelines, and complete additional duties as assigned.
