The goal of PNC’s Development Programs is to move analysts and associates from development roles into production roles in one of PNC’s lines of business. Corporate & Institutional Banking (C&IB) offers strategic insight and financial solutions for businesses, organizations, municipalities and nonprofits throughout the United States and internationally. The Capital Markets track provides a broad exposure to various business units within C&IB, structured development on-the-job and formal classroom learning including an intensive 8 - week credit training program designed to establish PNC’s core competencies . Analysts possess strong problem-solving ability, interest in mastering comple x products, a strong work ethic and a highly competitive nature. T he Capital Markets track includes the following business segments: Asset & Liability Management segments : Chief Investment Office - Portfolio Management and Hedging and Corporate Treasury Capital Markets Group segments : Chief Operating Office /Strategy, D erivative Products Group , Financial Institutions Group (Domestic & International Banks) , Fixed Income, Foreign Exchange, and Structured Products Group Investment Banking Analyst: Asset Backed Finance, Debt Capital Markets , and Public Finance Capital Markets The Capital Markets track is an engaging 2-3 year experience especially designed to equip you with the foundational and transferable skills that will enable you to navigate a successful career in banking. Capital Markets analysts master PNC’s product set to excel in analytics, credit, relationship m anagement, sales and financial modeling. Geographic flexibility is important to your success in this program. Performs or assists the core activities of the group by applying knowledge learned to drive business results (e.g. , deal, sales, or process support, internal or external customer interaction, or supporting internal projects) . Works under supervision and may have limited approval and/or exception authority. Participates in social learning within the organization (e.g. , identifies and networks with business representatives and peers, participates in mentoring, job shadowing and community outreach). Participates in formal learning (e.g. , classroom, web-based or virtual) and completes related activities and projects. Supports the internal and external customer experience by providing excellent service at all times; takes accountability and ensures problem resolution.

Requirements

  • Preferred business relevant majors (e.g., Finance, Accounting, IT, Economics, Marketing, Math, Statistics, HR, Management, Communications, Business Law, Psychology, Logistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Actuarial Sciences).
  • Minimum GPA 3.2.
  • Roles at this level are filled by recent university / college graduates with little or no professional experience, but possessing relevant skills.
  • Includes individuals joining the organization through a corporate development/training program.
  • Customer Focused - Knowledgeable of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and able to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.
  • Managing Risk - Assessing and effectively managing all of the risks associated with their business objectives and activities to ensure they adhere to and support PNC's Enterprise Risk Management Framework.
