About The Position

The Corporate Foundations Advancement Manager is responsible for developing and managing relationships with corporate partners and foundations to secure funding and support for the organization's healthcare initiatives. This role involves identifying potential donors, crafting compelling proposals, and ensuring effective stewardship of existing relationships. With support and coaching from Advancement Leadership, the Corporate and Foundation Relations Manager plays a crucial role in securing financial support, building strategic partnerships, and advancing the mission and impact of the organization through effective corporate and foundation engagement. Proposals are reviewed by Advancement and Research Leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Non-profit management, communications, public relations, marketing, business, or a related field. required
  • 4-6 years Proven track record of securing significant grants and corporate donations. required
  • 1-3 years Experience in fundraising, grant writing, and donor relations within the non-profit sector. required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. required
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; Ability to work collaboratively with a team and manage multiple projects simultaneously. required
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively about fundraising opportunities. required
  • Passion for the healthcare sector and the mission of the organization. required
  • Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive situations, maintaining confidentiality required
  • Drivers License - Endorsement P (Passenger) within 30 Days required
  • Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of IRS regulations and requirements for non-profit organizations. preferred
  • Certified Fund Raising Executive - CFRE International desired
  • Raiser's Edge Fundraising Software experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead efforts to solicit major gifts, grants, sponsorships, and donations from corporate and foundation sources
  • Develop and implement strategies to secure funding from corporate partners and foundations of $1.5-2M annually and determines avenues to drive growth.
  • Identify and research potential corporate and foundation donors.
  • Prepare and submit grant proposals and funding requests.
  • Manage the grant application process, including writing, submission, and reporting.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with corporate and foundation donors.
  • Coordinate site visits, meetings, and presentations with potential and existing donors.
  • Represent the organization at networking events, conferences, and meetings to identify new funding opportunities, cultivate relationships, and promote the organization's work
  • Ensure timely and appropriate donor recognition and stewardship.
  • Maintains a positive image when dealing with executive staff, benefactors, potential philanthropic partners, Board and Committee members, fundraisers, and other colleagues
  • Collaborate with leadership to create annual fundraising plans.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of fundraising strategies and adjust as needed.
  • Stay informed about trends and best practices in corporate and foundation fundraising.
  • Conduct prospect research to identify potential corporate and foundation partners, assess their philanthropic priorities, and tailor engagement strategies accordingly
  • Develop compelling narratives and case statements to support funding requests.
  • Prepare regular reports on fundraising activities and outcomes.
  • Communicate the impact of donations to donors through newsletters, reports, and other materials.
  • Collaborate with programmatic teams to create compelling funding proposals and grant applications that align with the interests and priorities of corporate and foundation donors
  • Works as a partner with researchers and team members on a variety of fundraising initiatives and maintains and enhances collaborative relationships with Versiti Blood Research Institute Foundation, Board members, benefactors, and Versiti team members.
  • Partners with marketing, IS, finance, blood operations, internal communications along with other departments
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties in this job classification
  • Understands and performs in accordance with all applicable regulatory and compliance requirements
