About The Position

This role plays a critical role in financial reporting and accounting across our global enterprise. The Corporate Financial Reporting Analyst will be primarily responsible for supporting the monthly and quarterly financial close and reporting process, including quarterly filings, annual report, management reporting, and supporting the FCRP controls. This role will partner with the Business Unit Finance, Legal, Tax, Treasury, and HR, and gain a broad understanding of the organization. Our Finance team combines traditional financial planning, analysis, and accounting with collaborative business decision-making and strategy, directly supporting leadership in Marketing, Sales, Digital & Operations. Team members are expected to analyze data and provide recommendations across our specialized product lines, including Yearbooks, Class Rings, Graduation Products, and Professional Sports. Through the utilization of best-in-class technical software, such as Workday Adaptive Planning, Incorta, SAP BPC, Oracle, Salesforce, & the Microsoft Suite, you will get to play a critical role in determining financial solutions that steer our business. Our Finance team is comprised of several subgroups, including decision support, FP&A, operations, and corporate, but our success is directly related to a culture of cross-team collaboration. Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years related experience in Financial Reporting and Public Accounting.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance.
  • Solid understanding of US Generally Accepted Accounting Standards (US GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Experience with designing and monitoring internal controls.
  • Advanced PC skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint.
  • Demonstrated analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing organizational needs.
  • Strong analytical skills and demonstrated experience working with mathematical calculations and complex operational situations.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and see projects to completion while managing deadlines and a strong attention to detail.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels and functions in the organization.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred manufacturing experience.
  • Preferred CPA, MBA, or CMA.
  • Preferred demonstrated experience with Oracle financial systems.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of the consolidation and oversight of key month-end activities, such as Balance Sheet review and variance analysis.
  • External Reporting to Private Equity owners, including reporting packages, disclosure checklists, and other supplemental information.
  • Preparation of External Financial Statements for presentation to the Audit Committee and Financial Institutions.
  • Completion of other Financial Reporting and accounting requirements, including but not limited to Government surveys, account reconciliations, and internal management reporting.
  • Prepare technical accounting research and prepare memos for new accounting guidance and assess impacts of changing business activities to accounting processes, policy, and controls.
  • Maintain Accounting policies and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Assist management with the External Auditor, including preparation of PBC request, managing the connect site, updating documentation, and participating in projects.
  • Ensure updates to internal control documentation and controls are made when needed, based on changes in processes and systems.
  • Drive process improvement in our global accounting processes and control framework.
  • Maintain and validate documentation and procedures related to Segregation of Duties and Payment Card Industry data security standards. This includes quarterly SOD analysis and remediation, and annual PCI assessment activities.
  • Remain current with GAAP and SEC requirements to assist in implementing changes as required.
  • Assist the company in the continuous improvement of financial reporting, compliance, and controls through optimization of Blackline and the EPM tool.
  • Assist management with other projects as necessary.
  • Approximately 5% travel annually.
