Corporate Financial Controller

About The Position

RediMinds is entering its next stage of growth, and we are looking for a hands-on Corporate Financial Controller to build and run the day-to-day financial engine of the company. You will ensure the integrity of our books, establish a disciplined close, strengthen financial controls and reporting, and help build the financial foundation RediMinds needs to scale with confidence. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Controller will be the senior financial operator for the business and a trusted partner to the leadership team. You will provide reliable, timely financial information, bring greater visibility to business performance, and ensure the company’s financial processes, systems and controls remain strong as RediMinds grows.

Requirements

  • Experience in the accounting and financial operations of a technology, software or SaaS business, including strong knowledge of revenue recognition under ASC 606.
  • Typically 8–12 years of progressive accounting experience, including time in a Controller, Assistant Controller or Senior Accounting Manager role.
  • Strong command of GAAP and core accounting, including general ledger, AR/AP, payroll, month-end and year-end close, and financial statement preparation.
  • Demonstrated experience owning the full monthly close and producing accurate, timely financial statements.
  • Experience establishing or substantially improving accounting processes, policies and internal controls.
  • Experience managing cash, reconciliations and working capital.
  • Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling and variance analysis.
  • Experience analyzing contract economics, customer profitability or other commercial financial decisions.
  • Experience coordinating tax filings and external audits or reviews with outside accountants.
  • Hands-on experience with accounting/ERP systems and comfort improving and automating financial processes.
  • Ability and willingness to operate hands-on within a lean organization while building for scale.
  • CPA strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Own the core accounting function, including the general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll coordination, and month-end and year-end close.
  • Own the monthly close and deliver accurate, timely financial statements (P&L, balance sheet and cash flow).
  • Maintain the chart of accounts and ensure transactions are recorded correctly and consistently in accordance with GAAP.
  • Manage banking, account reconciliations and working capital.
  • Coordinate tax filings, external audits or reviews, and compliance with outside accountants and advisors.
  • Establish and document scalable accounting policies, processes and internal controls appropriate for a growing technology company.
  • Create strong controls while maintaining the speed and practicality required in a growth-stage business.
  • Safeguard company assets and reduce financial and compliance risk.
  • Determine when and where additional controls should be added as the company scales.
  • Produce clear, accurate and timely financial reporting that enables leadership to understand performance, outlook and key financial drivers quickly.
  • Own the company financial model, annual budget, periodic forecasts and variance analysis.
  • Flag variances, risks and issues early, clearly and with recommended next steps.
  • Own and improve the accounting system(s), and introduce automation that makes financial processes faster, more accurate and scalable.
  • Streamline AR/AP, billing, expense and close workflows.
  • Build repeatable, well-documented processes rather than relying on one-off effort.
  • Provide financial modeling and analysis for major commercial opportunities, including pricing, margins, cost structures and potential financial risks.
  • Support the CEO, COO and commercial leaders in evaluating the economics of significant client contracts and negotiations.
  • Provide financial analysis to support significant business investments and other strategic decisions.
  • Manage and develop the lean finance and accounting team.
  • Help scope and build the accounting function: people, systems and capabilities as the company’s needs expand.
