About The Position

Citizens Capital Markets & Advisory is seeking a Corporate Finance Managing Director to join an entrepreneurial, growing organization. This role requires established Corporate and Financial Sponsor relationships within the Consumer & Retail industry sector to facilitate strategic dialogue with existing and new bank customers. The Managing Director will be the primary architect of client discussions and presentations, working with Citizens Capital Markets product colleagues to manage the origination and execution of debt, M&A, and equity transactions. This position offers an attractive opportunity for a senior banker seeking more autonomy, career advancement, and to be a key contributor within a fast-paced group with competitive compensation and benefits.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10+ years' experience in Investment banking and/or Capital Markets with a top-ranked investment bank or commercial bank.
  • Demonstrated, long-term client relationships in the Capital Markets Consumer sector, preferably within Consumer Products and Beverage sub-sectors.
  • Proven experience working with Debt and Equity Capital Markets, and leading M&A mandates.
  • 4-year degree from an accredited university.
  • Series 79 & 63 licenses.
  • Effective verbal and written communication and influencing skills.
  • Highly organized with ability to multi-task.
  • Strong credit acumen with superior market risk knowledge.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Architect strategic ideas, research industry notes and trends to present to clients as well as internal risk management.
  • Establish and cultivate long-term relationships at the C-suite level with Healthcare companies and Financial Sponsors.
  • Collaborate on cross-sell efforts with Citizens Commercial Bankers into an industry-specific client base.
  • Help prepare and present offering materials to potential investors and rating agencies, negotiate critical structural elements with client and investors.
  • Attend industry-related conventions and conferences to establish new and build on existing relationships while identifying industry trends.
  • Liaise with risk management to ensure that appropriate credit and market risks are identified and addressed.
  • Maintain effective license to operate by sustaining a high level of trust and confidence by senior line and risk management.
