About The Position

The Corporate Events Professional is responsible for assisting the Corporate Events Manager in planning and executing high-impact corporate and customer-facing events that support business development, brand visibility, and employee engagement for Saab, Inc., a U.S. aerospace and defense company. This role supports all U.S. trade show strategy and execution, as well as a portfolio of corporate events including facility grand openings, leadership forums, and customer user group meetings. Reporting directly to the Corporate Events Manager, Corporate Affairs (U.S.), this role has been created to enhance Saab’s position as the company delivers on robust growth plans in the U.S. market. This position is located in Saab’s Washington, D.C. Navy Yard office and includes a work-from-home option two days per week.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Hospitality, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience planning and executing corporate events and trade shows.
  • Experience with multi-day trade shows and executive-level events.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
  • Experience managing vendors, contracts, and budgets.
  • Excellent communication, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with a global team.
  • Willingness to travel domestically up to 40% (shared with the Event Manager) and internationally to Sweden once per year.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.

  • As a condition of employment, candidates will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

  • Trade Shows & Exhibitions Support end-to-end planning and execution of U.S. trade shows, conferences, and exhibitions.
  • Assist with annual trade show strategy to drive business outcomes in partnership with Business Development and program leadership.
  • Execute booth design, logistics, shipping, installation and dismantle, and on-site execution.
  • Coordinate with internal global stakeholders on messaging, demonstrations, staffing, and customer engagement.
  • Coordinate closely with external exhibit houses and vendors.
  • Support trade show budgets, timelines, vendor management, and post-event reporting.
  • Vet and catalog video, photo, audio, and other digital media content.
  • Create detailed ROI reports for events and activities associated with executed programs.
  • Corporate & Customer Events Assist with planning and execution of corporate and customer events including facility grand openings, leadership forums, customer user group meetings, and internal meetings.
  • Ensure events align with brand standards, security requirements, and business objectives.
  • Support site selection, contracting, vendor management, and on-site logistics.
  • Partner with executive leadership on agenda development, speaker coordination, and VIP experiences.
  • Budget, Compliance & Risk Management Develop and manage annual event budgets and track expenses and ROI.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, government regulations, security protocols, and export control requirements.
  • Conduct post-event evaluations and support continuous improvement efforts.
