About The Position

SS&C is seeking a highly organized, enthusiastic, and detail-oriented Corporate Event Planner to support the planning and execution of corporate events from concept through completion. This role primarily focuses on events in the New York City area, with occasional support for events in other locations. The ideal candidate is passionate about event management and thrives in a fast-paced regulated environment. SS&C combines proprietary technology with deep industry expertise to support complex financial and health care operations. Our teams design, implement, and operate solutions that help clients manage data, automate processes, and scale their businesses with confidence. You will work with industry experts, modern platforms, and evolving technologies, gaining exposure to real-world operational challenges and large-scale enterprise environments.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a corporate event planner.
  • Experience working with corporate legal processes for events and an understanding of hospitality contract language.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Event Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience building and maintaining business relationships.
  • Strong organizational skills, including multitasking, time management, follow-up, and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Cvent event management software, particularly polling and app functionality.
  • Proficiency with MS Office products (Word, Excel).
  • Availability to attend onsite events, including multiple evenings per week as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Execute SS&C corporate events onsite in New York City and other cities as required.
  • Plan, develop, manage, and monitor all aspects of assigned corporate events and tradeshows, ensuring deadlines and budget requirements are met.
  • Liaise with internal clients to identify requirements and expectations and help ensure client satisfaction.
  • Organize, oversee, and execute program activities, including conducting research, making recommendations, negotiating contracts, implementing promotional strategies, coordinating catering and sponsorships, purchasing tradeshow assets, managing tradeshow asset inventory, coordinating transportation, managing event logistics and communications, conducting follow-up activities, reconciling expenses, and preparing reports.
  • Collaborate with the lead generation team to identify, produce, report on, and nurture sales leads generated from events.
  • Measure and report event effectiveness to support continuous process improvement.
  • Provide excellent customer service and communication to internal clients, external vendors, and customers.
  • Maintain accurate records of all event contracts, budgets, and related materials.
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of large enterprise-wide events as required.
  • Ensure all event activities align with SS&C's legal, risk management, health, and financial requirements and expectations.
