CORPORATE DIRECTOR OF ENGINEERING
About The Position
Blue Sky Hospitality Solutions is seeking a dynamic, highly operational Corporate Director of Engineering to support engineering leadership and property operations across a growing multi-brand hotel portfolio. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for helping drive operational consistency, preventative maintenance standards, capital project support, property engineering oversight, life safety compliance, renovation coordination, vendor management, and engineering leadership development. The Corporate Director of Engineering will partner closely with General Managers, Regional Vice Presidents, Property Engineering Leaders, Ownership, and Operations Leadership to help improve operational execution, protect assets, reduce risk, and support overall hotel performance across the portfolio. This role is ideal for a strong hospitality engineering leader who thrives in fast-paced, multi-property environments and enjoys solving operational challenges at both strategic and property levels. This role is critical to protecting hotel assets, improving operational consistency, supporting renovations and capital improvements, strengthening preventative maintenance programs, reducing operational risk, improving guest experience, and supporting engineering leadership development across the portfolio. Strong engineering leadership protects the guest experience, the operation, and the investment.
Requirements
- Multi-property hospitality engineering experience strongly preferred
- Full-service hotel experience preferred
- Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, or IHG experience a plus
- Strong operational and leadership mindset
- Experience overseeing renovations and capital projects
- Strong knowledge of HVAC
- Strong knowledge of life safety systems
- Strong knowledge of preventative maintenance
- Strong knowledge of hotel engineering operations
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and compliance standards
- Ability to lead through influence, accountability, and operational partnership

Responsibilities
- Support engineering operations across a multi-property hotel portfolio
- Partner with General Managers and Operations Leadership on engineering initiatives
- Assist properties with preventative maintenance programs and operational standards
- Support renovation projects, capital planning, and property improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with life safety, OSHA, and operational standards
- Assist with vendor management and service provider oversight
- Conduct property engineering assessments and operational reviews
- Support engineering budgeting and expense control initiatives
- Help develop engineering leaders and property engineering teams

- Assist with emergency response planning and operational readiness
- Partner cross-functionally with Operations, HR, Finance, and Ownership teams
