About The Position

A Corporate Development Manager is responsible for driving strategic growth initiatives, identifying and executing opportunities for acquisitions, partnerships, and other corporate transactions that expand a company’s market presence, revenue, and competitive position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 10+ years in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, or in-house corporate strategy
  • Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical abilities
  • Proficiency in financial software and reporting tools
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to influence and collaborate across functions
  • Deep understanding of the relevant market sectors (e.g., military and commercial aerospace; industrial markets such as heavy transportation, rail and marine markets; actuation technology) and deal processes

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degrees or certifications in finance, business, accounting, engineering or related fields are preferred

Responsibilities

  • Scout and evaluate potential acquisitions, joint ventures, and partnerships.
  • Collect and organize opportunities to research.
  • Perform due diligence, financial modeling, and market analysis to assess deal viability.
  • Manage Data room and due diligence checklists.
  • Prepare and present business cases, financial models, and progress reports to senior management.
  • Negotiate terms, manage contracts, and oversee integration plans post-acquisition.
  • Communicate and address questions with target to ensure a complete contract.
  • Develop and implement corporate development strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Work with legal/contracts, finance, operations, and sales/marketing teams to ensure smooth integration and alignment.
  • Ensure a complete data room review and assist with integration of acquired companies.
  • Build and maintain relationships with banks, partners, and senior leadership.
  • Track industry trends, competitive dynamics, and regulatory changes to identify risks and opportunities.
