About The Position
A Corporate Development Manager is responsible for driving strategic growth initiatives, identifying and executing opportunities for acquisitions, partnerships, and other corporate transactions that expand a company’s market presence, revenue, and competitive position.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- 10+ years in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, or in-house corporate strategy
- Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical abilities
- Proficiency in financial software and reporting tools
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Ability to influence and collaborate across functions
- Deep understanding of the relevant market sectors (e.g., military and commercial aerospace; industrial markets such as heavy transportation, rail and marine markets; actuation technology) and deal processes
Nice To Haves
- Advanced degrees or certifications in finance, business, accounting, engineering or related fields are preferred
Responsibilities
- Scout and evaluate potential acquisitions, joint ventures, and partnerships.
- Collect and organize opportunities to research.
- Perform due diligence, financial modeling, and market analysis to assess deal viability.
- Manage Data room and due diligence checklists.
- Prepare and present business cases, financial models, and progress reports to senior management.
- Negotiate terms, manage contracts, and oversee integration plans post-acquisition.
- Communicate and address questions with target to ensure a complete contract.
- Develop and implement corporate development strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Work with legal/contracts, finance, operations, and sales/marketing teams to ensure smooth integration and alignment.
- Ensure a complete data room review and assist with integration of acquired companies.
- Build and maintain relationships with banks, partners, and senior leadership.
- Track industry trends, competitive dynamics, and regulatory changes to identify risks and opportunities.
