The Corporate Development Director is responsible for all aspects of Snyk’s corporate development strategy and operations to help accelerate the company’s mission through M&A, investments, strategic product partnerships, and strategic growth initiatives. Partner with internal stakeholders to determine how M&A might allow Snyk to deliver on its product roadmap faster and more effectively. Develop a deep understanding of these potential new markets for Snyk and how best to assess companies within them. Identify compelling targets that support Snyk’s strategic priorities through direct research as well as engagement both internally (with Snyk’s executives, product, and engineering teams) and externally (with entrepreneurs, investment bankers, and investors). Lead pre-LOI diligence efforts by assessing value creation opportunities/risks in potential acquisitions and aligning valuation/deal structure accordingly. Build an efficient, repeatable process to drive diligence across all relevant functions (Product, Engineering, People, IT, Legal, Finance, Tax, Accounting, etc.). Develop and manage postmerger integration to ensure acquisitions ultimately deliver value to Snyk. Travel required up to 25% for internal meetings and client. Telecommuting is permitted up to 2 days per week.

Requirements

  • Requires a Master's degree In Business Administration, Engineering, or a directly related field plus five (5) years of engineering experience.
  • Must have at least five (5) years of experience with the following: Knowledge of Security, DevOps, Virtualization and Cloud Industry.
  • Business development experience.
