About The Position

The Corporate Development Associate will play a key role in supporting strategic decision-making across the organization. The candidate will work closely with senior leadership on corporate development initiatives, FP&A activities, investor relations functions, and will support other high-impact finance functions, including Treasury. This is a high-visibility early career role with significant opportunities for growth and learning through varied experience and mentorship. This is a hybrid role with the expectation of attendance in person at the Company’s headquarters in Houston, Texas at least four days per week.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred, but other degrees considered with relevant experience
  • 2-4 years’ experience in investment banking, corporate development, FP&A, corporate finance, or consulting
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Deep understanding of financial statements and three-statement forecast modeling
  • Understanding of fundamental valuation methodologies and M&A process
  • Highest standards of accuracy, precision and integrity; highly organized
  • Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to roll-up sleeves and work with team members in a hands-on capacity

Nice To Haves

  • FP&A experience within the manufacturing industry a plus, but not required
  • Experience with OneStream and FactSet or similar tools a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Practice safe work habits and comply with all quality, safety, health and environmental policies, procedures, programs and regulations
  • Support merger and acquisition evaluation, due diligence, and integration efforts
  • Produce and own financial merger models to project long-term growth and determine the impacting business factors
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform strategic initiatives
  • Assist in preparing materials for Board and Committee meetings and strategic partnerships
  • Assist in preparing quarterly earnings materials, including investor presentations, earnings releases, and investor call transcripts
  • Prepare and maintain monthly financial reporting package and business financial forecast models
  • Review and explain business and market drivers causing variances between actual, forecast, and budget for financial statement items as part of monthly financial review and reporting
  • Work with business unit heads to prepare annual operating and capital budgets
  • Provide ad-hoc support to leadership on strategic financial decision-making initiatives, including Treasury initiatives
  • Other duties as assigned.
