About The Position

The Corporate Development Analyst at Cadence Education is a critical member of the Corporate Development team, focused on supporting the organization's strategic growth initiatives through mergers and acquisitions (M&A). This role involves conducting financial analyses, due diligence, and market research to evaluate potential acquisitions, as well as assisting in post-acquisition integration efforts. The position requires a strong analytical mindset, financial acumen, and the ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of strong financial modeling skills and proficiency in financial analysis and valuation techniques.
  • Understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to effectively use a computer in a windows environment.
  • Ability to travel for due diligence and integration activities.
  • Ability to read, write and speak effectively in English.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of related experience in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, or related fields.

Nice To Haves

  • A master’s degree is a plus.
  • Experience in mergers and acquisitions, financial analysis, and due diligence processes is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct financial analysis, including financial modeling, valuation, and risk assessment, to evaluate potential M&A targets.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive landscapes, and industry benchmarks to assess opportunities and risks associated with acquisitions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to perform due diligence on target companies, including reviewing financial statements, contracts, and legal documents.
  • Identify and assess potential risks and issues during the due diligence process.
  • Assist in developing financial projections and forecasts for potential acquisitions, considering various scenarios and assumptions.
  • Evaluate the potential impact of M&A transactions on Cadence Education's financial performance.
  • Conduct market research to identify growth opportunities and market trends in the education sector.
  • Evaluate the competitive landscape and identify potential acquisition targets that align with Cadence Education's strategic goals.
  • Assist in structuring M&A deals, including negotiating terms and conditions, pricing, and financing arrangements.
  • Collaborate with legal and financial advisors to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in post-acquisition integration efforts, working closely with operational teams to facilitate a smooth transition.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of integration activities.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of M&A activities, including financial models, due diligence reports, and deal summaries.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
