About The Position

In this role, you will support M&A execution, including diligence, valuation, and integration support. The role provides hands-on exposure to live transactions and interaction with senior executives. This position reports directly to the VP of Corporate Development and is designed for a professional with approximately two to four years of experience in investment banking or corporate development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, engineering, economics, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in investment banking, corporate development or transaction advisory.
  • Demonstrated skill in building and maintaining complex financial models and valuations.
  • Strong analytical and critical - thinking skills; ability to translate data into actionable insight.
  • Hands-on experience with FactSet / CapitalIQ; Advanced expertise in Excel and PowerPoint is essential.
  • Applicants must demonstrate expert-level proficiency in both programs to be considered.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized, deadline - driven, and comfortable managing multiple workstreams simultaneously.
  • Self - starter with strong business acumen and a solution - oriented mindset.
  • Eligibility to obtain a U.S. security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Bloomberg Government
  • Understanding of how the defense and government services markets operate financially.
  • Awareness of ITAR, export controls, or other regulatory considerations in the national security ecosystem.
  • Experience or strong interest in defense, aerospace, space, electronic warfare / ISR, cyber, or advanced industrial sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Create valuation models (DCF, trading comps, transaction comps, accretion/dilution) and support synergy assessments.
  • Prepare executive - ready presentations, investment committee materials, and board updates.
  • Participate in the execution stages of the transaction process - due diligence, confirmatory diligence, and integration readiness.
  • Evaluate key deal issues and potential deal breakers; summarize findings and implications for leadership.
  • Maintain internal M&A processes and procedures to ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
  • Support documentation, diligence tracking, and data - room management across multiple live transactions.
  • Coordinate cross - functional teams (finance, legal, operations, HR, IT, security) to gather information and validate assumptions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal business units, external advisors, and potential target companies.
  • Represent the company at select industry events and networking opportunities to expand visibility and deal flow.
