About The Position

Analysts in Corporate Credit Structuring (“CCS”) support senior team members and Coverage Bankers in the origination, analysis, structuring, and execution of credit facilities for existing and prospective clients. Transactions include syndicated and bilateral loans, bridge financings, and acquisition-related facilities across investment-grade, high-yield, and financial sponsor clients. The Analyst role is primarily analytical and execution‑focused, providing exposure to transaction structuring, financial analysis, credit approvals, and portfolio monitoring. Analysts work closely with Coverage, Credit Risk, Legal, Compliance, and other product partners to support prudent risk-taking and deliver tailored financing solutions to clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related quantitative discipline.
  • 0–2 years of relevant experience in banking, credit, corporate finance, consulting, or a related analytical role (internship experience considered).
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with an interest in credit, structured finance, and corporate banking.
  • Basic financial modeling skills and understanding of financial statements and credit metrics.
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; familiarity with Bloomberg and Capital IQ preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support Banking Americas Originations and Product Partners in identifying client opportunities and gathering information required for initial business screening and transaction evaluation.
  • Respond to internal and external requests under the guidance of Associates and senior team members.
  • Assist in preparing capital allocation and profitability analysis to support transaction viability and internal approvals.
  • Prepare and support credit applications for new transactions and renewals, including transaction rationale, proposed structure, key terms and conditions, and exposure analysis.
  • Assist in the preparation of required credit documentation, including collateral and guarantee registrations, and facility rating simulations.
  • Coordinate administrative and compliance-related requirements (including KYC, reputational risk reviews, and conflict checks) to support transaction execution.
  • Ensure adherence to internal credit policies, procedures, and sector or industry risk limits.
  • Work with Credit Risk counterparts to support credit assessment and assist with due diligence required to finalize credit opinions and approvals.
  • Assist in transaction structuring, underwriting analysis, and execution, including review of legal documentation in coordination with Legal and external counsel.
  • Analyze transaction proposals with a focus on structure, terms and conditions, risk considerations, and profitability.
  • Support deal execution by coordinating with clients, agent banks, participating banks, Legal, Compliance, and Operations teams.
  • Conduct detailed reviews of commitment letters, NDAs, LOIs, and credit agreements under supervision.
  • Assist Portfolio Management teams in monitoring client performance and portfolio exposure, including support of risk mitigation initiatives where applicable.
  • Monitor market developments, client performance trends, and relevant news in coordination with Credit Risk, escalating issues as appropriate.
  • Support regulatory, audit, and internal review requests, including preparation of backup materials and presentations.
