About The Position

Keurig Dr Pepper (KDP) is seeking a dynamic Corporate Counsel to provide legal and strategic support and advice for the Company’s beverage and food business on a wide range of quality & safety, environmental, and health & safety matters for its operations throughout the United States and Canada. Knowledge of sustainability and EPR regulations is a plus. This is a challenging, highly visible role that requires collaboration with various functions throughout the company. Ideally, this role will be a hybrid role based in Frisco, TX, with in-office work from Tuesday to Thursday and remote work on Monday and Friday. The opportunity for fully remote is an option if located outside of Frisco.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor from accredited institution
  • At least five years of legal experience in experience advising clients on OSHA, FDA and related compliance matters at a law firm, or as part of an in-house corporate legal department of a CPG company
  • Broad expertise with the legal and regulatory issues pertaining to manufacturing
  • Knowledge of compliance requirements for manufacturing
  • Expertise in legal issues involving advertising and promotions, including knowledge of the FTCA and FTC regulations and guidelines, including Green Guides
  • Nimble thinker, collaborative, and comfortable working with senior management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Support all aspects of KDP’s procurement, manufacturing and distribution operations relating to food quality & safety and EHS compliance, including FDA, CFIA, HHS, EPA, OSHA and similar state and local agency regulations and inspections, permitting issues, internal audits and day-to-day advice to business and HR leaders on these topics.
  • Represent the Company in any matter involving the aforementioned agencies, including preparing responses to Notices of Complaint, Notices of Violation, Food safety audits, and negotiating with said agencies to secure favorable settlements of any disputes.
  • Identify, track and interpret regulations of interest and application to the business in key regulatory areas.
  • Form collaborative and effective cross-functional relationships within the Legal Department and with internal clients; develop strong commercial partnerships to assist in driving the R&D, food quality & safety, and EHS agenda.
  • Provide legal support to the Sustainability team including advising on sustainability matters related to the environmental claims.
  • Perform other duties as requested by leadership.
