About The Position

Join Amazon's Legal Department as Corporate Counsel supporting our Worldwide Operations and Robotics teams. Requirements

• 5+ years of legal experience
• Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent

Nice To Haves

• Experience of a mix of corporate law firm and in-house work
• Experience in technology and commercial transactions or businesses
• Experience advising on intellectual property matters, including patents, trade secrets, and software licensing
• Experience drafting and negotiating complex technology agreements, including SaaS, hardware supply, and development agreements
• Experience supporting engineering or product development teams in a fast-paced technology environment
• Experience identifying and assessing legal and regulatory risks related to emerging technologies such as robotics, automation, or AI

Responsibilities

• Partner with engineering and technology teams to provide legal guidance on product development, system implementation, and robotics initiatives
• Structure, draft, and negotiate complex commercial agreements, including technology, supply chain, licensing, and deployment contracts
• Assess and advise on legal, reputational, and compliance risks related to technical architecture and program design
• Provide strategic counsel on intellectual property matters and software licensing
• Develop and implement practical solutions to support business objectives while ensuring legal compliance
