About The Position

We are seeking a seasoned, highly motivated communicator to support CEO Communications content development and delivery. This role will help articulate a clear, compelling, and differentiated voice for the CEO, advancing TD’s business priorities and strengthening its position as a leading global financial institution. The successful candidate is an exceptional writer, editor, and creator of thought leadership content, with strong editorial judgment and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.

Requirements

  • 7–12 years of experience in corporate communications, journalism, or a related field, with a strong track record operating in complex, enterprise environments.
  • Exceptional writing and storytelling capability, including executive speechwriting, with a demonstrated ability to craft clear, compelling narratives that authentically capture and elevate a leader’s voice.
  • Proven ability to design and execute innovative executive communications strategies, with a strong point of view on how leadership voice can drive business outcomes, shape reputation, and influence stakeholders.
  • Experience in Financial Services, with a solid understanding of capital markets, market dynamics, and the regulatory environment.
  • Demonstrated experience developing, managing, and evaluating multi-channel communications programs (internal and external), with a focus on impact, reach, and alignment to strategic priorities.
  • Strong intellectual curiosity and external orientation, with a keen interest in global news, geopolitical and economic trends—and the ability to translate these insights into relevant, forward-looking CEO messaging.

Responsibilities

  • Develop high-impact speeches, remarks, articles, and thought leadership pieces that reflect the CEO’s authentic voice and reinforce TD’s strategy, culture, and brand.
  • Ensure all content is clear, compelling, and aligned to enterprise priorities and narrative.
  • Edit and refine materials to the highest standard, ensuring precision, consistency, and tone.
  • Partner closely with senior stakeholders and business leaders to translate complex business priorities into clear, strategic messaging.
  • Provide informed counsel on message framing, positioning, and communications approach.
  • Apply strong editorial discipline to maintain a cohesive and authoritative CEO voice across all platforms.
  • Lead and execute the CEO’s LinkedIn and digital content strategy, driving engagement and amplifying reach.
  • Contribute to an integrated content approach across channels, ensuring consistency and impact.
