About The Position

Nscale is seeking a Corporate Communications Manager to manage communications related to financial reporting and corporate milestones. This role will work closely with Investor Relations, Finance, and Legal to ensure a consistent and accurate story is told across various audiences including media, employees, customers, and the public. The ideal candidate will have experience with earnings communications, disclosure discipline, and pitching financial reporters. This is a hands-on role within a small but impactful communications team, requiring ownership of responsibilities, close collaboration with colleagues, and adaptability to company needs. The position is US-based with a preference for New York.

Requirements

  • 5–8 years of experience in corporate, financial, or business communications
  • Direct, hands-on experience supporting financial reporting and earnings communications for a publicly traded company, including earnings releases, executive preparation, and media outreach
  • Proven experience pitching and building relationships with business reporters at top-tier outlets
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to turn complex financial and technical information into clear, accurate, compelling messages
  • Experience partnering with Investor Relations, Finance, and Legal, and advising senior executives
  • Sound judgment and discretion when handling highly confidential and sensitive information
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to run multiple high-stakes announcements at once
  • Comfort with ambiguity, shifting priorities, and a scope that will change as the company grows

Nice To Haves

  • Agency experience, ideally at a strategic or financial communications firm, supporting corporate and capital markets clients
  • Experience supporting major corporate milestones or transactions, such as M&A, large financings, or other high-profile events
  • Experience in technology, AI, cloud, or infrastructure

Responsibilities

  • Run the day-to-day communications workstream for financial results and reporting milestones, including press releases, media materials, internal announcements, social content, and media outreach.
  • Partner with Investor Relations, Finance, and Legal on the reporting calendar, messaging, and review process to align external communications with the investor narrative.
  • Draft CEO and CFO talking points, media Q&A, and briefing documents based on agreed messaging frameworks.
  • Support executive preparation for media interviews.
  • Support communications for investor-facing moments in coordination with Investor Relations.
  • Uphold and partner with IR on the disclosure process, including information control, confidentiality, and review of external materials for sensitive financial information.
  • Plan and execute communications for major corporate moments such as financings, M&A, strategic partnerships, major customer agreements, and leadership/board appointments.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with financial, business, and technology reporters at national and trade outlets in the US and UK.
  • Pitch and place stories that advance Nscale's corporate narrative between announcements.
  • Track and analyze media coverage and share-of-voice, and provide insights and recommendations to leadership.
  • Develop and maintain the corporate messaging framework, company boilerplate, briefs, key facts, and approved financial metrics.
  • Monitor the landscape for financial and corporate reputation risks, and develop reactive statements and holding lines.
  • Support issues and crisis response on financial and corporate matters, working closely with Legal and Investor Relations.
  • Partner with Internal Communications to translate financial results and corporate milestones into a clear story for employees.
  • Manage day-to-day relationships with agencies, setting clear briefs and holding them to high standards.
  • Coordinate with colleagues across internal, policy, and executive communications for consistent messaging across all audiences.
  • Work across Finance, Legal, Investor Relations, Marketing, and regional teams to ensure timely execution of announcements.
