About The Position

We seek a Corporate Communications Specialist who will report to the Director of Global Communications and work collaboratively as a member of the Corporate Communications team to implement a dynamic corporate communications and content strategy for one of the world’s most respected pet food brands. This role balances strategic planning with other communications responsibilities that meet organizational goals. The successful candidate will lead projects focusing on strategic goals, engaging creative and storytelling, and on-time delivery. The role regularly collaborates across the division team to ideate and execute projects to meet communications goals. As a part of the global communications team for Hill's, this role will also have an indirect but important connection with the Corporate Communication team of Hill’s parent company, Colgate-Palmolive.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in marketing communications, public relations, digital marketing, or similar role.

  • Proven experience in corporate communications, marketing communications, social media management, or public relations.
  • Experience delivering strategies and communications that effectively support change initiatives and alignment to organizational/business goals.
  • Expertise in overseeing and growing professional social media channels (LinkedIn) and employer reputation platforms (Glassdoor, Indeed).
  • Ability to create and tell stories through visual mediums (graphic design, video, etc.)
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities and make timely, effective decisions.
  • Use of AI tools to accelerate research, spark ideas, and sharpen content.
  • Proficiency in Google AI tools, Adobe Creative Suite and content creation tools.
  • Experience with media monitoring tools and analytics platforms.
  • Highly collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a team-based, global, and highly complex, matrixed environment.
  • Proven experience in graphic arts with a demonstrated ability to develop and execute overall communication objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Translate organizational initiatives, operational updates, policy changes, and program launches into employee-friendly, action-oriented communications.
  • Lead the development of strategies for employer brand and corporate communications in partnership with the broader team.
  • Collaborate closely with the Integrated Brand Experience (IBE) team and CP Corporate Communications to ensure global brand consistency and impact.
  • Oversee all aspects of corporate social media and employer brand channels, including but not limited to LinkedIn, Glassdoor, and Indeed. This includes strategy, vendor management, content planning and execution, and reporting to elevate Hill's presence as an employer of choice.
  • Support weekly media monitoring, tracking industry trends, competitor activity, and Hill's-specific coverage to provide actionable insights.
  • Develop, drive and improve project workflows while establishing best practices to maximize productivity efficiencies and maintain high-quality communication outputs using Monday.com.
  • Manage production and creative work with potential support from external agencies and consultants with clear direction.
  • Stay relevant and up-to-date on all corporate communications, design and marketing trends, as well as cultural events to ensure Hill's communications remain impactful and modern.
  • Effectively communicate and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the Hill’s organization and parent company, Colgate-Palmolive.
